PROJECT GRANTS


Polycrisis and Reconciliation: Centering the Experiences and Perspectives of Malaiyaha Tamils 

  • Funded by GiZ grant of USD 5,000 (March 2024)
  • Project led by MeeNilancko Theiventhran (PI) and Alikhan Mohideen (coPI), with Githmi Rabel and Amali Wedagedara (CoI).

Debt, Democracy and Authoritarian Regimes in Sri Lanka 

  • Funded by Antipode’s “Right to the Discipline” grant of GPB 7,500  (June 2024)
  • Project led by Thiruni Kelegama (PI), and included Melani Gunathilake, Charith Gunawardena, Danusha Pathirana and Kanchana N Ruwanpura (CoI).  Charith, Kanchana and Thiruni are pro bono researchers on this grant.

No society can surely be flourishing and happy of which by far the greater part of the numbers are poor and miserable.
